Welcome to the Muay Boran Basic Course in August 2021! Due to covid restrictions, we have divided the course into two groups. There are still a few places available in group 2 - register now!

What will you learn in the basic course?

In the basic course, as the name implies, you will learn the basics of Muay Boran - for example, punches, kicks, and knee and elbow techniques. You will also learn ways to defend against these, for example through defenses, evasions and counter-attacks. You don’t need previous experience in martial arts - but you also won't get bored in training, even if you already have experience. You will learn everything you need during the course so that you can move on to our advanced group after the basic course.

Course objectives:

• Getting to know the use of nine body weapons
• Energy production from the body based on physics and anatomy
• Learning straightforward attack and defense techniques
• Learn to act in typical self-defense situations
• Improve fitness mobility
• Have fun and get to know new fellow trainers!

In the training, you will be guided by our internationally certified teachers, who will make sure that you'll learn well and that training is fun and safe.

Free trial for a week

Your registration is binding, but if you do not wish to continue training after a week of trial, please notify your cancellation in writing by Fri 20.8.2021 to dani.warnicki (a) imbafinland.com. After notifying the cancellation by the deadline, your seat will be vacated on the waiting list for the next one and you will not be required to pay the course fee. If you do not notify your cancellation by the deadline, you agree to pay the course fee (€ 170). Please note that the free trial is not included in the ticket purchased with the Early Bird discount, as the price of the Early Bird discount ticket will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Training times and course duration:

In IMBA Basic course you´ll get to train twice a week

on Wednesdays from 18:30 to 20:00, and

- Fridays from 17:00 to 18:30

The course starts on Wed 18.8.2021 at 18.30. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your training so that you have time to get acquainted with our training facilities and change your training clothes.

Duration of the course: 18.8. – 17.11.2021. In addition, the course fee includes one month of training in the advanced group after the basic course from 18 November to 18 December 2021.

Venue: The trainings will be held in our gym at Hatanpään valtatie 34 D.

Course fee:

The price of the course is 170 € (students & unemployed 150 €). In addition to the basic course (3 months), the price includes advanced training for a month. By registering for the course, you agree to pay the course fee. An invoice for the course fee will be sent to you at the end of the one-week trial period. If you wish, you can pay the Early Bird price (€ 150) already upon registration! NOTE! Early Bird course fees will not be refunded even if you are unable to attend the course. The Early Bird ticket also doesn’t have a week’s trial period on the course.

We also accept Smartum, Edenred, ePassi and Eazybreak (does not apply to the Early Bird discounted course fee).

Equipment:

You'll only need regular sportswear, such as a t-shirt and shorts. In addition, we recommend bringing a water bottle and a towel if you want to take a shower after the class.

The number of participants in the course is limited so that we can guarantee a high level of teaching in small groups and follow the officials' guidelines.
